Brenda M. Huff

RALEIGH-God called His faithful servant, Brenda Mckeithan Huff, home early in the morning on Saturday March 4th  2017  after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. She was 71, born in Raleigh, NC, on April 9th, 1945 to the late James and Lela Mckeithan. She was a beautiful lady both inside and out, who  never met a stranger. She had a special way about her. Her beautiful smile, twinkling beautiful brown eyes, and jet black hair matched her outgoing personality which made her even more beautiful. She lived her life an example for others.  She became a Christian at age 16 and her testimony was lived out in her life. She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir in 3 different churches for close to forty years. She was a Godly woman and set an example for many. She was the best Wife in the world. She was married to the  luckiest man in the world, Larry D. Huff,  for 54 years.  She ALWAYS looked out for him and loved him dearly, just as he loved her dearly. They had many happy memories together. She was also a wonderful Mom, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, always trying to make them happy.  She will be greatly missed and her family believes she will light up heaven just a little bit more. Our loss is heaven’s gain. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her sister Phyllis Mckeithan and Jennie Faye Campbell. In addition to her beloved husband, Larry D Huff, she is survived by her son, John  Huff (Anona), and daughter, Jill Hamilton (Steve); grandchildren, Whalon Huff, Lilly Huff, Hannah  Smith, Hailey  Nipper (Chad) and Ethan Medlin;  3 great grandchildren, Landon Smith, Addison Smith and Mary Ann Huff; sister, Patricia Lowe (Fred) and brother, Jim Mckeithan Funeral services will be at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina, NC, Tuesday, March 7 at 1:00pm. The family will receive friends from 11:00am -12:45pm, prior to the service. Interment will be at Montlawn Memorial Park following the service. A special thanks to Transitions Lifecare Hospice  nurses and their staff for their wonderful care and service during this time of our special need. Flowers are welcome, however memorials may be made to Transitions Lifecare Hospice or Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
