Brenda Tew Turnage

GARNER -Brenda Tew Turnage, 71, went to live with the Lord on Friday. Brenda loved the Lord and served Him devotedly all her life, helping people by volunteering for Meals on Wheels and being a devoted, loving Christian example to all she came in contact with. She was gifted by God with a maternal love like few women. Brenda was born in Erwin, NC, where she met and married her late husband, Robert Kenneth Turnage, also of Erwin. Funeral services will be held at Garner Free Will Baptist Church, 1133 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529 on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at 3:00 pm, with visitation at the church from 2-3:00 pm prior to the service. She is survived by her son, Michael Robert Turnage of Garner, NC and her daughter, Melanie Dawn Turnage of Clayton, NC. She is also survived by her grandson, James H. Whitlock IV.
