Brianna Nichole Bendure

Raleigh - Brianna Nichole Bendure, “Bri”, 63, wife of the late John Wayne Bendure of Raleigh, passed way Thursday, September 12, 2019, in her home surrounded by family.Born April 6, 1956, on Smyrna Air Force Base, Smyrna, Tennessee, she was the daughter of William Hoover Collins and Margaret Lucille Newman. Brianna graduated from Pine Forest High School. She went onto graduate from Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Brianna loved children and dedicated her life to raising and teaching them by starting her own in-home day care and teaching preschool. She later obtained her teaching certificate from Wake Technical Community College. She became a teacher’s assistant and then a substitute teacher for Wake County Public School System. In later years, she loved to care for and teach her grandchildren. She is survived by her three children: Daniel Wayne Bendure (Melissa), Christina Marie Bendure, and Joshua Ryan Bendure all of Raleigh, North Carolina; two granddaughters, Lily Rae and Abigail Rose of Raleigh. She is also survived by her sister Cindy Lou (Collins) Baker of Garner. In addition to her husband John, she was preceded in death by her parents William Hoover and Margaret Lucille Collins; her brother Timothy William Collins; and her brother-in-law Roger Dale Baker.
