Candace "Candy" Lennea Ridoutt

Candace (Candy) Lennea Ridoutt, 52, former teacher, Boy Scout Parent Leader, Daycare owner (Ridoutt's Daycare) plus numerous other occupations and East Carolina alumni left this world peacefully August 3rd, 2023. she was the daughter of Sherman Holt and the late Opel McCrickard. A native of Wake County, North Carolina. Candy was an exceptional wife, loving mother, and devoted friend. Her memory and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved her.

Candace is survived by her loving husband, Chad Ridoutt, Sr.; and loving sons, Chad Ridoutt, Jr., Chett Ridoutt and her parents, Sherman Holt and Darlene Holt and many cousins who will miss her so much. Candy was her husband Chad's ears, and he was her eyes.

She loved her Boy Scout Troop 10 and always brought a smile to everyone's face.

Her fighting spirit, fierce love and tender concern will be dearly missed. She was a shining example of Motherhood to her two boys and to all who knew her. Her death is the embodiment of Robert Frost's words "Nothing gold can stay". Candy was truly taken too soon!

The family will receive friends for a period of visitation from 6:00 pm -8:00 pm, on Tuesday, August 08, 2023, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.
