Carl Lindbergh Stancil

ANGIER - Carl Lindbergh Stancil, 84, passed away after an extended illness. A native of Johnston County. He was the son of the late Callie Lester and Pearlie Mae Ellen Stancil. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Angier. Burial will follow at Sandy Grove Cemetery, Angier. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Ovelyn Pleasant Stancil, a son , C. Steven Stancil, grandson Scott Stancil, sisters, Mary Rose Painter and Doris Chappell, brothers, Ray Stancil, Russell Stancil and Thomas Stancil. Surviving are a great-grandson Chance Ray Stancil, sister, Frances S. Fish of Willow Spring, brother, Robert Stancil of Lillington and POA, Lester Stancil; sister-in-law, Jackie Dierickx and numerous extended family. Family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service from 1 - 2 PM.
