Carl Walter "Jack" Whitehead, Jr.

Garner - Carl "Jack" Whitehead, Jr. passed away peacefully at his home. He was born in Harlan, KY. He was the son of the late Carl Whitehead, Sr. and Kate Miller Whitehead. Jack was a faithful employee at Dorothea Dix Hospital for 46 years. He is survived by brother, William E. (Eddie) Whitehead and wife Judith; nephew, Charles Whitehead and wife Heather; granddaughter, Stephanie and husband Brad Bennett; great-grandchildren, Abby and Cole; and stepdaughter, Tina Coleman. Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie Call. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Carolina Pines Baptist Church, Raleigh. The family will receive friends 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM prior to the service.
