Carlie G. Carter

ANGIER – Carlie Carter, 84, passed away Tuesday at his home. A native of Harnett County, Carlie was the son of the late Cornelius (Nick) and Gertie (Johnson) Carter. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 27th at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Angier Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Carlie is survived by his children, Wendy Thomas (Donald) of Lillington, Candy Bailey (Shane) of Angier, William “Bunky” Johnson (Elaine) of Beaufort; grandchildren, Joey Talton (Allison) of Angier, Matthew and Luke Bailey of Angier; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Madison and Caroline Talton, all of Angier; sister-in-law, Carolyn R. Watkins of Rolesville; many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Carlie was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Robinson Carter and his sister, Retha Carter Dean.
