Carlton Gray Blakley

Carlton Gray Blakley, 70, passed away unexpectedly on November 20, 2020. A native of Forsyth County, Carlton was born on September 16, 1950, to the late Herman L. and Frances Shields Blakley. He graduated from Parkland High School and UNC Greensboro. Carlton served in the Navy on the USS Independence as an aircraft mechanic with Attack Squadron 12. He was an environmental chemist with Bayer and the State of North Carolina. A Graveside Service will be 1:00 pm, Friday, December 11, 2020, at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, 701 Oakwood Ave., Raleigh, NC 27601. Carlton is survived by a daughter, Gail Blakley; sister, Janet Bosely; brother, Charles Ray Blakley; and nephew, John Wall. Arrangements by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
