Carol Ann Theberge

Carol Ann Theberge, 72, passed away on April 4, 2023 after a brief battle with cancer.

Carol was born in New Hampshire and moved to NC over 30 years ago. With the help of her daughter Anita, Carol was the successful owner/operator of White Oak Country Kennels in Garner for over 26 years.

Carol was a passionate animal lover and rescuer. She was known for rescuing everything from parakeets to horses, cats, and dogs. Many animal lives were saved and improved because of her love and care. She was the co-founder of a non-profit rescue group and later volunteered with various rescue organizations in the Triangle area.

Carol is survived by her daughter Anita Augenti and her mother June Jean.

A funeral service will be held at St. Ann Catholic Church in Clayton on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the SPCA of Wake County or the Spay-Neuter Assistance Program of NC.
