Carolyn Parrish

GARNER – Carolyn Parrish, 73, went to glory to be with her Lord and Savior on December 5, 2017. She was an adored wife, much loved mother, doting grandmother, devoted sister and aunt. Her beauty is well remembered by many, inside and out. An accomplished cook, she would prepare legendary dishes for her family and friends. She was a longtime member of Hayes Chapel Christian Church in Garner. Our hearts are saddened by her passing, but we know we will meet again in Heaven. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Hayes Chapel Christian Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.   The family will receive friends in the church Fellowship Hall immediately following the service and burial.   Survivors include her husband, Larry R. Parrish; daughters, Bonnie Hobby and husband, Chris Latham of Garner and Katrina Hobby of Cary; son, Greg Hobby and wife, Julie of Charlotte; step-daughter, Michelle Benson and husband, Kent of Holly Springs; brother, Jim Griffin of Fuquay; grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary, Alex, Rachel, Avery, Samantha and Shelby, as well as many nieces and nephews.   She was preceded in death by her parents, James Verlon Griffin and Anne Smith Griffin and sister, Jane Griffin.
