Carolyn Sue Steinfeld

March 29, 1945 - January 12, 2012 Cary - Carolyn Sue Steinfeld, 66, passed away peacefully January 12, 2012. A Memorial Service and celebration of life will be held Sunday January 15th at 1PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd. Raleigh, 27604. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Sue, daughter of the late Isaiah and Dorothy Flack, was born and raised in Lafayette, IN. She graduated from South Western High School, attended Purdue University and graduated from Grand Valley State University. She began her career as an elementary school teacher. After raising her two children, she pursued her lifes passion in floral design. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her devoted husband of 45 years, Bob; sons, Eric and wife, Jennifer of Farmington, CT; Adam and wife, Katie of Naperville, IL; brother, Samuel Flack of Lafayette, IN; grandchildren, Leah, Jason, Taylor and Ashlyn. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the Duke Brain Tumor Center and their Oncology staff for their dedicated attention and care Sue received. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Preston Robert Tisch Brain Tumor Center at Duke University Medical Center, DUMC 3624 Durham, NC 27710 in care of the Carolyn Sue Steinfeld Fund.
