Catherine Brannan Austin

Raleigh - Catherine Brannan Austin passed April 21, 2012 at her home. Mrs. Austin was born August 14, 1921, the daughter of the late Eugene Moore Brannan and Annie Beatrice Carroll Brannan. She was preceded in death by her husband, M. Raeford Austin, in 1985. Mrs. Austin was also preceded in death by her brothers, Milton Moore Brannan; Edwin Walker Brannan; and her sister, Dorothy Carleen Brannan.She is survived by her daughters and their families, Cathy Austin Burrage (Robert) of Concord; Janet Austin Jackson (Randy), and Debra Austin Autry (John), both of Raleigh; five grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 24, 2012, 2:00 p.m., at Forest Hills Baptist Church, 201 Dixie Trail, Raleigh, NC 27607. The family will meet with friends and relatives one hour prior to the service in the church parlor.
