Catherine Digirolamo

Garner -Cathy DiGirolamo went to her eternal rest on March 2, 2018. Born in the Bronx, New York and then moved to New Jersey to raise a family. Later in life, moved to the warmer climate of North Carolina. She loved the beach, playing cards and mostly making memories with her adoring family. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dominick, and their children, Jeralynn (daughter) and Jim Castles, Denise (daughter) and Joseph DiGiacopo, Dominick (son) and Laura DiGirolamo, and Lori (daughter) and Patrick Kay. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley (granddaughter) and Zach Penny, Amanda (granddaughter) and Adam Stanley, Joseph DiGiacopo, Brittany (granddaughter) and Patrick Murphy, Samantha DiGiacopo, Mason DiGiacopo, Dominick DiGirolamo, Shelby Castles, Sabrina DiGiacopo, Jacqueline DiGirolamo, Alexis Kay, Patrick Kay, Anthony DiGirolamo, Matteo DiGirolamo, and Aubrie Kay. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Harper, Logan and Nathan Penny, and Adelynn Stanley. She will be forever remembered by her siblings, Mickey Gentile, Vinny Gentile, and Rita Como and their spouses. She will also be dearly missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends. Preceded in death by her parents, Margaret and Pasquale Gentile, special nephew Joseph McEvoy, and her mother and father in-law. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.  Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
