Catherine Johnson Tutor

Catherine (Kitty) Johnson Tutor, age 93, of Fuquay-Varina, NC died Monday, March 25, 2024. She was born July 15, 1930 in Wake County, NC to the late Clennie Hubert and Kate Chaffin Johnson and she was the widow of the late Paul M. Tutor.

She is survived by her son, Carl Johnson Tutor and his wife, Tabatha of Fuquay-Varina; her daughter, Catherine Nance and her husband, Jeff of Albemarle; her daughter-in-law, Connie Tutor of Willow Spring; her grandchildren, Kelly Tutor, Kristi Tutor Lewis, Brittany McGee, McKensie Watts, Caleb Tutor, Kendal Myers, Jodie Nance, Katelyn Tutor and McKala Kordoulis and fifteen great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Barry Martin Tutor and her brother, Hubert Johnson.

Mrs. Tutor was an educator for over 38 years in Wake County. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church of Fuquay-Varina for many years. The most important things in her life was her faith and her family.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 29, 2024 from 10:00 to 10:45 am in the First United Methodist Church of Fuquay-Varina, 402 N. Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC.

Her funeral service will be held Friday, March 29, 2024 at 11:00 am in the First United Methodist Church of Fuquay-Varina with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Garden.
