Catherine Louise Brown Watkins

Catherine Louise Brown Watkins, 90, passed away at Oak Hill Living Center in Angier Saturday. A native of Wake County she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Mattie Campbell Brown. Preceeded in death by her husband of 68 years, Tyree Watkins; three brothers, Bobby H. Brown, Bruce Clayborn Brown, and B.L. Brown. Graveside services will be Tuesday, July 26 at 11:00 AM at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Survivors ; sons, Ardie C. Watkins and wife, Donna of Apex, Mark S. Watkins and wife, Peggy of Raleigh; grandchildren, Allison Putman and husband, Lindsay, Jennifer Durham and husband, Danny, Tiffany Watkins; great-grandchildren, James Wray Putman, Henry Tyree Putman, and Lily Ann Putman; sister, Mary Ellen Buffaloe. The family will receive friends Monday from 6-8 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner and at other times at the home of Ardie and Donna Watkins. The family would like to thank Carillon Assisted Living in Fuquay on Johnson Pond Road, Oak Hill Living Center in Angier, and Liberty Hospice of Dunn for their excellent care during Louise’s Illness. Although flowers are welcome, memorial donations may be directed to Liberty Hospice of Dunn.
