Catherine Marjorie Dumas Welsh

May 2, 1919 - October 6, 2011 Raleigh - Catherine Marjorie Dumas Welsh was called home to our Father in Heaven, Thursday, October 6, 2011. She was born in Malone, NY on May 2, 1919 to the late Walter O. and Anna M. Dumas. Catherine (Kaye) married Edward (Ned) Welsh on April 25th 1991 after being best friends since 1952. She retired after a long career at Westinghouse and spent most of her adult life in Buffalo, NY. After Neds passing in 2006 she moved to NC to live with her sister Gerry Barlow. Kaye was also preceded in death by her brothers Kenneth, William, Edgar, and Darrell and her sisters Rita and Joan Coughlin. Kaye loved her family and friends. She was an excellent cook and found much joy in entertaining and encouraging others including nieces and nephews attending college in Buffalo. She was kind and generous and you were always welcome in Kaye and Neds home. She is survived by her brothers Norman of Malone, NY, Leslie of Grand Island, NY, Clarence of Zephyrhills, FL, sisters Bernice Gonyea of Malone, NY and Geraldine Barlow of Raleigh, NC, and several generations of nieces and nephews including Linda, Dave, Lisa, Leslie and David Hash of Raleigh, NC. When she was able Kaye attended St. Marys Catholic Church in Garner. Services will be held at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Malone, NY. Her final resting place will be beside her beloved Ned in Buffalo, NY. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wake County.
