Cathryne Price Richbourg

Cathryne Price Richbourg went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 12, 2017.  Born on November 9, 1921, Cathryne is survived by her loving daughter, Sandra Richbourg of Raleigh, and a sister, Mildred Price Wilson of Topsail Beach, along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceasing Cathryne were her beloved husband, William (Bill) A. Richbourg , her daughter, Cynthia Richbourg Bryant, and three brothers and one sister. A charter member of St. Giles Presbyterian Church and “Amen Corner,” Cathryne also loved her church Circle, where she was known as a Bible expert. Cathryne never missed the North Carolina State Fair or a family reunion. Her daughter, Sandra, would like to particularly thank Cathryne’s two nephews, Mark Bowers and Phillip Price, as well as her niece, Barbara Price Whiteway, who she called her “third daughter.”  In addition, gratitude goes to Cathryne’s “fourth daughter,” Mary Ellen Jackson; her dear neighbors, Joanne and Burks Crumpler; her kind pastor, Katherine Kussmaul, as well as Transitions LifeCare Hospice. Cathryne was loved and will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Giles Presbyterian Church.  Private interment will be held at Raleigh Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church for one hour prior to the service.
