WILLOW SPRING – Cathy “Catbird” McLean, 69, of Willow Spring, NC passed away on July 24, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her father, Clarence and mother, Peggy. She is also preceded in death by her brothers; Douglas, Phillip, and Ronnie; sister, Teresa; and great-grandson, Mason. She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Michael “Mickey” McLean of the home; daughters, Robin and husband, Willie of Willow Spring, Jackie and husband, Edward of Gastonia, Jennifer and husband, John of Willow Spring, Amanda and husband, Alan of Stedman; son, Michael and wife, Sierra of Winder, GA. She also cherished and enjoyed her 12 grandchildren, Brian, Jason, Jessica, Amber, Dustin, Brianna, Taylor, Aiden, Autumn, Mika, Jasper, and Raylan; 3 great-grandchildren, Mason, Adalynn, and Massimo. She was also looking forward to the addition of another great-grandson in September to be named Jackson. She also has 3 surviving sisters, Bonnie, BJ, and Gloria and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. The family would also like to include her very best friend of over 30 years, Judy May. The family would like to extend a sincere and heartfelt thank you to her physicians at WakeMed Hospital and much appreciation to WakeMed Raleigh SICU and 6th floor nurses and staff. Your remarkable care for our mother did not go unnoticed. Thank you all so very much. The family would also like to thank Amedisys Hospice care for their assistance in her final days.
