Cecil Iry Strickland

Richland Hills, TX – Cecil I. Strickland, 93, passed away in Texas, Friday Nov. 13, 2020. A native of Chatham Co., NC., he was the son of the late Clarence and Nora Smith Strickland. Mr. Strickland retired from the printing business, he also proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. A funeral service will take place at 1 PM Thursday Nov. 19, 2020 at Ephesus Baptist Church on Hillsborough St. Raleigh, NC with with burial to follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with Military Honors. Along with his parents, Cecil was preceded in death by his first wife Geraldine Strickland and his second wife Estelle Strickland; 3-brothers, Harvey Strickland, Waddell Strickland and Rev. Elton Strickland and sister Tula Goodwin. He is survived by his son; Jerry Alan Strickland and wife Jonna; sister, Shirley Holleman; grandsons; Burke Strickland and wife Valerie and Brandon Strickland and wife Sara and great grandchildren Baylor and Jordan; 3-step-children; Shirley Lowery, John Guess and Ronald Guess and extended family.
