Willow Spring, North Carolina – Cecil Searcy of Willow Spring, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024. Cecil was born on May 7, 1937, in Wake County, NC, the son of the late Alverta Smith and Melvin Lee Searcy.


Cecil is survived by his daughter, Julia Burch (Steve) of Fuquay-Varina; son, Cecil D. Searcy of Duncan, NC; grandchildren, Jamie Criswell (Will), Pam Lawson, Felicia Hernandez (Antolin), Candace Herrell (Michael), Kyle Burch and Nicholas Burch; great-grandchildren, Savannah, Katherine (Kate), Charlotte, Cade, Anthony, Luisa, Antolin, Isabell, Jasmine, Ethan, Jose; sisters, Josephine Hayes, Hazel Rosenland; brothers, Ray Searcy and Jack Searcy.


Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Katherine Searcy; his siblings, JC Searcy, Sherwood Searcy and Ronnie Searcy.


Cecil will be forever in our hearts and never forgotten.


In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.


A memorial service will be held for Cecil at 10:30 am on Friday, September 6th at Fellowship Baptist Church, Willow Spring, NC, with an inurnment to follow at the church cemetery.
