Celeste Flamigni-Fijalkowski, 90, passed away at home July 7, 2017 surrounded by her daughter and son-in-law. Celeste was born in Italy where she met her late husband, Bronislao, during WWII. After the war was over, they moved to Argentina with their young daughter, Elena, to start a new life. They purchased a lot of land and built their home from the ground up. Celeste devoted her life to her husband, home and family. She always put her family before herself, especially her grandchildren, Marcelo and Sandra. After her husbands passing in 1992, she remained in Argentina until 2008 when she came to the United States to live with her daughter in New Jersey in 2012 when the family moved to North Carolina. There will be a Prayer Service at 11:00 AM Friday July 14, 2017 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Celeste was preceded in death by her husband; Bronislao Fijalkowski. She is survived by her daughter; Elena Acquaviva and husband Hector; brother, Silvio Flamigni and wife Giordana and two grandchildren; Marcelo Acquaviva and Sandra Clarke three great-grandchildren Amanda Clarke (who recently began Army basic training) Brandon Clarke, Isabelle Acquaviva; many dear friends and extended family.
