Charles Bennett King, 91, a loving father, grandfather, friend and brother died peacefully Wednesday. He was a devoted member for 45 years at Wooten’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday at Wooten’s Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, with Military Honors and Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends prior to the service 1:00 – 1:45PM at the church fellowship hall. Survivors include daughters, Deborah Mangum (Barry) of Raleigh, Carolyn Williamson (Larry) of Rocky Mount; son, Tim King (Mariam) of Raleigh; brother, Wade King (Julia) of Garner; daughter-in-law, Anna King of Raleigh; grandchildren, Katie Mangum Smith, (Scott), Anna Mangum, Sarah King and Olivia King; step grandchildren, Damon Williamson and Kate Kaplan (John). Wives, Christine P. King and Barbara King and her son, Hervey Wagner. He was preceded in death by a son, Charlie King.
