A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 12th at North Congregational Church, 11 Main St. N. Woodbury, CT 06798.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Wendy L. Voegeli Guglielmetti; children, Krista Canwell (Bruce) of Nashua, NH; Carl Lurix of Burlington, CT; Brett Lurix of Cincinnati, OH; Katti-Lyn Battaglia (John) of Garner, Justin Guglielmetti (Shaelyn) of New Britain, CT; sister, Doreen Kilday (Thomas) of Billerica, MA; grandchildren, Adele Lurix and Elise Lurix of Burlington, CT, Zachary Battaglia, Luca Battaglia and Mackenzie Battaglia all of Garner; a very special niece, Laura Kilday of Philadelphia, PA; and last but certainly not least numerous other nieces and nephews from the Voegeli clan.
Charlie will be remembered for his kind heart and his infectious humor. He and his wife Wendy were married for 41 years and shared a true love that shined through every smile and laugh that they shared. He was greatly loved by his children and grandchildren, and was known as the “life of the party” in his large circle of life long friends. He loved the outdoors, traveling, and listening to live music. He liked to keep himself busy and would often reach out to friends and family offering a helping hand wherever he could. He always put others before himself, and his love and laughter will be thoroughly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Guglielmetti.
