Charles David Holleman

ANGIER - Charles David Holleman “David” passed away peacefully at his home in Angier on January 4, 2023. He was born in Fuquay-Varina, NC to Charles Edwin Holleman and Mary Margaret Langston Holleman. He graduated from Fuquay-Varina High School in 1966. David married Judy Carolyn Page in 1968, and then served four years in the Navy before returning to Fuquay-Varina to continue in the family grocery business. David and his family moved to Angier in 1981 where he owned and operated the Angier Food Market and Piggly Wiggly before moving on to residential development.

David had a love for life, his family, and his friends. His passions included golf, fishing, NASCAR, and RVing. He and Judy loved traveling with friends and family and had many loving memories with children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife, Judy Page Holleman; son, Todd Holleman and partner, Allison Beasley; son, Kevin Holleman; daughter, Kerry Holleman Young and husband, Ryan; grandchildren, Emily and Candice; and his great grandchildren, Skylar, Brantley, Zayne, and Delilah. David is also survived by his brother, Curtis and wife, Kitty Lane Holleman of Fuquay-Varina; brothers in-law, Fred Page, Jerry Page and wife, Diane; and sister in-law, Joyce Page Niles and husband, Gene; and a host of many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at Bryan Lee Funeral Home in Angier on Monday, January 9th, 2023, from 6:00pm-8:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in David’s memory to Saint Jude Children’s Hospital, The Wounded Warrior Project, or to the charity of your choice.
