Charles Douglas Gardner

Charles Douglas Gardner, 75, of Garner, passed away peacefully Monday, July 25, 2022 at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born in Wilson County, he was the son of the late Harvey Earl Gardner and Lena Marie Talton. Funeral graveside service was held on Friday at 12:00 pm July 29, 2022 at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro. Burial will follow the service at the Cemetery. Doug is survived by his wife, Carol Gardner; daughters, Angela Thompson of Garner, Dawn Goodwin (Tim) of Garner; sisters, Sherry Hodge (Dennis); brothers, Teddy Wayne Gardner (Cheryl), Danny Ray Gardner (Rosa Lee); grandchildren, Samantha Goodwin. In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his sisters, Becky Clark, Deborah Kay Arnold, Frances Snelgrove and Carolyn Gardner; brothers Earl Gardner and Harvey Randall Gardner.
