Charles Edward Mcghee, Sr.

Willow Spring, NC- Charles Edward McGhee, 75, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018, peacefully with his family by his side at UNC Healthcare Rex Hospital. A Visitation/Memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Bryan Lee Funeral Home 300 E. McIver St., Angier, NC 27501. Please dress casual or country western in honor of Charlie. Charlie was born in Wake County, NC.  He loved NASCAR, working in his yard at his second home in Florida, fishing and woodworking in his basement workshop as he listened to Country music. Charlie is survived by his wife, Judy Wilson McGhee of the home in Willow Spring, NC; daughter, Kim Watson Lazenby and husband Douglas Lazenby of Clayton, NC; daughter, Cathy Pippin and husband Bryon Pippin of Lithia, FL; son, Charles McGhee, Jr. of Youngsville, NC,  grandsons, Tyler Lazenby of  Tampa, FL, Charles Brent Inscore and wife Brandy Inscore of Buffalo Junction, VA; granddaughters, Ashlyn Pippin of Tampa, FL, Brooklyn Pippin of Mountain Home, ID, great grandson Holden Sawyer Lazenby and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Doy McGhee and mother Ella Mae McGhee, other family members preceded in death are brothers, Bobby McGhee, Bruce McGhee and Billy McGhee, sisters, Bonnie Bridges and Elsie Mae Bailey. In lieu of flowers, we are asking that monetary donations be given to his wife, Judy Wilson McGhee, to help with his medical bills.
