Charles Edward Stephenson

Charles E. Stephenson, 81, departed this life on Friday. He was the son of the late Ransom N. and Mary Grimes Stephenson and he was an account agent with Allstate Insurance Co. for 27 years and a member of the Garner Civitan Club: also a veteran of the US Navy. Charles was preceded in death by six brothers. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Highland Baptist Church, 8524 Crowder Rd. Raleigh, NC and burial to follow at W. H. Grimes Family Cemetery in Willow Spring with military honors. He is survived by his wife of 57 years: Edna Moore Stephenson; one daughter; Candy Stephenson of Garner; one son; Tony Stephenson and his wife Wendy of Sneeds Ferry. Four sisters; Vada S. Allen, Jean S. Barbour, Emily Faye Honeycutt and Louise S. Stanley all of Willow Spring, NC. Grandchildren: Chaz Alivo and Christy Myatt and four great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Monday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
