Charles Rodgers Carroll

Garner- Charles Rodgers Carroll, 70 years old, born in Warren County, currently of Peach Orchard Drive, Benson, NC, and formerly of 1927 Simpkins Road, Raleigh, NC, died peacefully in his home Sunday morning at 6:55 am surrounded by his bride and children.Charles touched many lives in his journey and will be truly missed by many. He owned and operated Charles Carroll Heating and AC until retiring January 2014.Survived by his wife Carolyn Massengill Phillips Carroll, son Rodney Carroll and wife, Melissa; daughters, Charlene Koehl and husband, Matt and Kelly Waters. He was the Grandfather of 7 wonderful grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. He had 2 step-daughters and son-in-laws, 6 step grandchildren, and 1 step great-grandchild, a brother Bill Carroll and wife, Joyce of Macon, NC; a sister Mary Sue Evans and husband, Charles of Goldsboro, NC.Visitation will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, Garner at 5:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers Charles requested donations be made to Benson Grove Baptist Church, 6966 NC 50 Benson, NC 27504.
