Charles Sanford Howard

Charles Sanford Howard, 68 passed away on Dec. 13, 2018. A native of Nash County, he was the son of the late Sam and Betty Howard. Charles was an auto mechanic which led him into his passion of drag racing. Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018 at Hollywood Cemetery in Middlesex, NC. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until Noon at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner prior to the graveside. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Bass. He is survived by his wife of 49 years; Joyce Hall Howard; daughter; Christy Howard; son Michael Cooke and wife Clarence; sisters Sarah Adams and Sandra Whitley; brothers, David Howard and Dennis Howard; six grandchildren, Nadja Saraos, Samantha Cooke, Alexia Cooke, Brice Howard, Ethan Howard and Bella Howard and one great-grandchild, Kaeja Saraos. In lieu of flowers make donations to the charity of your choice.
