Charles Tolbert Jones

Raleigh - Charles Tolbert Jones, 83, passed from earth into heaven, on Monday afternoon. Born in Rolesville, NC, he graduated from Hardbargers Business College, and established Charles T. Jones and Co. Accounting in Raleigh. He retired in 1993. He was a faithful member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Raleigh, for 53 years, where he served many years as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, and treasurer. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Friday at Fellowship Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy S. Jones; sons, Avery and wife, Barbara, and Larry and wife, Bonnie, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Elizabeth Barksdale and Edith Murphy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank G. and Mary W. Jones; 4 brothers, Albert, Gordon, Elton, and Malburn; two sisters, Louise Decker and Katherine Dennis. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.
