Charlie J. Griffin

Charlie J. Griffin passed away peacefully on August 31, 2016 at Duke Raleigh Hospital. Charlie was preceded in death by his father and mother, Samuel D. and Mattie Jordan Griffin and his loving wife, Dorothy “Dot” Griffin. Charlie is survived by several nieces and nephews and other family members. “Uncle” Charlie will be missed by countless friends and family. His tireless motivation and work ethic was unmatched. Charlie was a self-made, successful entrepreneur. He enjoyed spending time at his beach house, on his boat, fishing, and investing. Charlie enjoyed every moment spent with the love of his life, his wife Dot. He has gone to be with her now, where they can begin their 71st year together. A joyous celebration of his life will take place at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh, this Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel with a visitation 1 hour prior. Interment will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.
