Charlotte Lancaster Phelps, age 81 passed away at her home on July 28, 2022 after a brave struggle with Parkinson's Disease. She is survived by her daughters Sheree Phelps McLean (Dwayne) and Marci Adair Phelps; grandsons Justin and Michael McLean; sister in law Patricia Lancaster and several nieces & nephews, and numerous cousins. Charlotte was predeceased by her father and mother John M and Otelia Lancaster; brothers Ed and Jimmy (Jim) Lancaster; her loving husband of 44 years Lewis Marshall Phelps Jr who passed away on December 30, 2006; and her sister in law Linda Lancaster. Charlotte was a member of Cary First Baptist church since her family moved to Cary in 1947. She was involved with many ministries in the church. Charlotte lived her life to the fullest sharing love & joy. Her motto was "Live, Love, and Laugh". She had many friends. She never met a stranger, and never missed a chance to talk to them about our Lord, Jesus Christ. She enjoyed shopping, eating out, visiting, movies, and her flower garden. She was employed at the State Highway Patrol, NC School of the Blind, and Sears, as well as owning & managing Falls Flower Shoppe for many years. The family is grateful to her physicians, friends, and caregivers who made it possible for her to remain at home and supported her with their loving care.
