Charlotte S. Welch

Raleigh - Charlotte passed away Wednesday. A Raleigh resident for 45 years, Charlotte was born in Philadelphia, PA. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, George Harmon Welch. Charlotte is survived by her daughters, Barbara J. Eagan and husband, Vincent Pat, Holly E. Corno, Janet A. Hensel, Leslie E. Miller and husband, Paul, all of Raleigh; sister, Jean M. Svec of Tinton Falls, New Jersey; grandchildren Neil J. Hinch and wife, Theresa, Scott A. Hinch and wife, Emilie, Holly A. Goldman, Tracy L. Jones and husband, Earl, Craig M. Hensel, Ryan A. Miller, Reba E. Miller, Mary Lindsey Blanton and husband, Chris, John C. Miller and wife, Meghan, Nancy Ray and husband, Will; great-grandchildren, William Goldman, Casey Jones, Eleanor Jones, Zachary Jones, Kyler Miller, Nikolas Miller, Harper Blanton, Warner Blanton, Crews Blanton, Maverick Blanton, Haven Blanton, and 10 nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Charlotte was predeceased by her parents Frank and Anna Kaiser Fry, and her brother, Franklin W. Fry. A brief memorial service will be held Monday September 3 at 11:00 am at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Raleigh, 831 Wake Forest Road, 27604. The family would like to thank the staff at Falls Village & Falls Court for the wonderful care during the last years of her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Charlotte S. Welch Living Trust C/O Holly Corno, 4806 Landover Charge Lane, Raleigh 27616 for her designated charities.
