Cheryl Ann Grudzinski

Raleigh—Cheryl Ann Grudzinski, 66, passed away Monday, July 10, 2017 at her home with her husband by her side. She was born on June 8, 1951 at Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, Kansas to the late William and Edith Florian. On January 16, 1981, she married Richard Grudzinski and was blessed with three step-children and 37 years of marriage. Cheryl was a dedicated member of the Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene in Garner, NC since 1981 where she served on various committees and ministries since that time. In 2013 she retired from Duke Energy following many years of service in administrative work. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a loving family which includes her husband, Richard Grudzinski; daughters, Julie Earp and her husband, Floyd “Butch,” of Wendell, NC, Pamela Gardner and her husband, Daniel, of Wendell, NC; son, Richard Grudzinski and his wife, Kimberly, of Fuquay, NC; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at the Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Riley Powell officiating. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends and relatives at the church on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 4:00 until 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested in Cheryl’s memory to the Raleigh First Church of the Nazarene Building Fund: 1329 US Hwy 70 West, Garner, NC 27529.
