RALEIGH- Christine Boughman Eason, 90, received her promotion to Heaven on Tuesday. She was born in Burke County to the late Oliver L. and Elizabeth Griffin Boughman. When she was a child, her family moved to Johnston County to farm. She later married Woodrow Eason and they had three children: Carol, Linda and Donnie. After the death of Woodrow, she married W. Person Eason. In 1955, she went back to school to finish her two years of high school. After graduating, she went to work in Raleigh at the NC Fire Insurance Rating Bureau. At the age of 74, she retired from the State of NC with 30 years of service. A Homegoing Celebration will be held in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner on Monday at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends 11:30-1:00 prior to the service. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both her husbands; her son, Donnie Woodrow Eason; four brothers; five sisters, and a step-son, Dickie Eason. Surviving are daughters, Carol Eason Hall and Linda Eason Johnson; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, and three step-children. The family would like to thank everyone for their love, prayers and support during this most difficult time and a special thanks to all who lovingly took care of our mother at the nursing facility.
