Angier - Christine G. Marks , 91 , of Angier died Thursday at Western Wake Hospital in Cary, NC following a brief illness. She was born of the late Robert Gallwas and Ludmilla Gallwas of Hindenburg, Germany. Christine was the Credit Manager for the The News and Observer in Raleigh, NC and retired after 35 years of dedicated service. She was so vibrant and filled with life. Christine enjoyed her trips to the beach, morning coffee on the deck and gazing out over the ocean. It was always a joy to see her with a fishing rod. Christine attended Rawls Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her husband, John N. Marks Surviving are her sons: Joe Marks of Garner, Thomas Marks of Coats; daughters: Ramona Marks and companion Jaime Rugh of Sanford, Robin Hoskins and husband Lanny Hoskins of Raleigh; grandchildren: Kevin Marks and wife Carmen Marks of Garner, Michelle Marks of Coats, Katie, Phillip and Barbara Hoskins of Raleigh, Leslie Simpkins of Sanford, Johnny Herring Jr. of Beulaville and great-grandchildren: Kevin F Marks of Garner, Justine and Carter Herring of Winchester, Va. and Camryn of Beulaville. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 2 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The family will receive friends from 12:30-2, prior to the service. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina. Memorial contributions may be made to Rawls Baptist Church for their building fund, 10665 US 401 N, Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
