Christopher Dale Thompson

CLAYTON- Chris Thompson passed away suddenly at home Thursday April 25, 2013. Chris was a star football player for Garner High School, where he was a member of the 1987 Garner 4A state football championship. He also played in the Shrine Bowl representing Garner High. He was the 1990 Wake Co. football player of the year. He played football for The Citadel and Elon. Chris also umpired ball for several years. Memorial service will be Monday, 3:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. Chris was preceded in death by his father Clawson almost a year ago. He is survived by his mother; Jo Ann Woodlief Thompson; two sisters, Deloris Brown and husband Wayne, Peggy Harrington and husband Billy; a brother, Michael Thompson and wife Sharon. The family will receive friends and relatives after the service.
