Christopher Mark Guin

Coats – Christopher “Mark” Guin, 46, of Coats, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2024.

Mark was born in Raleigh, NC, the son of W. A. and Diane Guin of Lillington. Mark was an outdoorsman at heart. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and hunting. His dream was to one day hike the Appalachian Trail and had hiked several sections of it from Georgia to Maine. Mark was also a gentle soul who loved animals. He enjoyed taking his dogs along camping and kept pet iguanas, finches, ferrets, and cats over the years.

No matter how much Mark was in pain these last few years, he never complained. If someone was upset in his presence, he would try to comfort them. He will be dearly missed!

In addition to his parents, Mark is survived by his sister, Amie King (Phillip) of Broadway; brother, Keith Guin (Michelle) of Willow Springs; nieces, Ashley Guin of Greensboro, Amber King of Broadway; nephew, Matthew Guin of Seattle, WA.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held by his family at a later date.
