Clayton Henderson Porter

RALEIGH – Clayton Henderson Porter, 82, peacefully passed away at home in the early hours of Friday, April 15, 2022. He was born in Harnett County on October 24, 1939, the son of the late Ira Clayton Porter and Janie Sudie Adkins Porter. Clayton is survived by his wife, Wilma Faye Gilchrist Porter; children, Robert Anthony Porter, David Clay Porter, and Gina Porter Morin and husband, Michael; sisters, Iris Porter Herring, Sue Porter Thomas and husband, Kelly; grandchildren, Jonathan Neal Smith and wife, Jasmine Kamel Smith, Jessica Marie Smith, Nicolas Clay Porter, Natasha Faye Porter; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Star Lanning, Elijah Neal Smith, and Lucas-Henry Alexander Smith. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Raleigh with visitation beginning one hour prior. The burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. The family respectfully requests for visits and/or food deliveries to the home be limited in an effort to allow his immediate family time to rest. Your understanding is most appreciated.
