Clifton E. “Andy” Andrews

April 17, 1922 — May 7, 2015

Raleigh - Clifton E. “Andy” Andrews, 93, went to be with his Lord and to be reunited with those who went before him on May 7, 2015.   He was born in Raleigh, North Carolina on April 17, 1922. He served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean Conflict; being awarded the Bronze Star. He married the love of his life, Mary Lee Galloway Andrews, on April 17, 1949, and they created a beautiful life together for 63 years. During their 63 years together they were blessed with two wonderful children, Jenny and Jo, and three lovely grandchildren, Andy, Leanne, and Will. Andy was predeceased by his wife, Mary Andrews, and his daughter, Jennifer Andrews. He is survived by his daughter, Joanna Andrews French (Chuck), his grandchildren, Andy Andrews (Christina), Leanne French Minnick (Chauncey), and Will French, his great grandchildren, Dayton and Cole Minnick, and his sister, Elsie Honeycutt of Seattle, WA. Graveside services will be held at Montlawn Cemetery at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2015. Many thanks go to Heartland Hospice and Morningside Assisted Living for extraordinary love and care; and to Hayes Barton United Methodist Church for always remembering.
