Clinton L. Adams

ANGIER – Clinton Loyd Adams, 81, of Angier died Wednesday, March 25, 2015. Clinton was born August 13, 1933 to Halford Gattis Adams and Willie Lee Adams and resided in Angier throughout his life. He was a graduate of Angier High School. He was an active member of Angier Baptist Church, served as a deacon, and had a great love for the members of the Marshall Morgan Sunday School Class. Clinton was an avid horseman and passed along his love for horses to his children and grandchildren. He was a founding member of the Black River Saddle Club and he was the founding director of the Midget and Peewee football program for Angier. Every Monday night you could find him at the barn with the Angier Twirlers, his square dancing friends. He enjoyed camping with the Camping Squares. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm at Angier Baptist Church. Burial to follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens. Clinton is survived by his wife of 61 years, Bettie Hart Adams, sons, Clint Adams and wife, Tammy; David Adams and wife, Lori both of Angier, sisters, Rebecca A. Hall (JK) of Hugo, NC; and Judy A. Wheeler (Ronnie) of Angier; brother, Halford Gattis Adams, Jr. of Angier; grandchildren, Chad, Malissa, Jessanna, Brittany, Cassie, Kristen, Jonathan, Webb, Lane and Garett; great-grandchildren, Shelby, Walter, Lucy, Finn, Max, Mary-Halford, Molly-Glenn, Maple and Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Adams and his son, Halford Glenn Adams. The family will receive friends Friday 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier, and at other times at the home.
