Clyde G. Barnett

March 1, 1939 — February 13, 2024

FUQUAY-VARINA – Clyde Gordon Barnett, 84, passed away on Tuesday at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Born in Broome Co., New York, he was the son of the late Jackson Lynn Barnett and Dorothy Odell Barnett.


A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 16th at 11:00 am in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service for the family at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier.


Clyde is survived by his children, Dale D. Barnett of Warrenton, Anona B. Huff (John) of Willow Spring, Kevin M. Barnett (Darlene) of Smithfield, and Annette Bridges (Robert) of Benson; grandchildren, Earl G. Barnett (Florrie), Tara Sanders (Barrett), Ricky Weyant (Shae), Joelle Gonzalez-Soto (Sam), David Barnett (Angie), Deborah Byrd (Wendy), John Whalon Huff (Ashley), Lilly Ann Huff, Jessica Cavana (Matt), Chris Bridges (Jamie), and Madison Bridges; and sixteen great-grandchildren.


He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Beverly Ann Barnett; his second wife, Sadie Lee Barnett; son, Earl G. Barnett; daughter-in-law, Ann Barnett; siblings, Rose, Gloria, Nancy, Eva and Dick; and granddaughter, Jolene Barnett.
