Clyde Michael Mike Macon

GARNER - Michael Macon, 61, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 19, 2013. Mike was the son of Nellie K. Macon and the late Clyde R. Macon. He was a native of Garner and attended Garner High School and Wake Community College. Mike was employed with Estes Express Lines, as a long distance truck driver. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24 at 11 a.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, and burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. In addition to his mother, Mike is survived by his wife of 25 years, Beth Coats Macon; his step-daughters, Shannon Holt, Spirit Carr and her husband, Mike. He is survived by five grandchildren, Shelby, Parker, Riley, Addison, and Phen. Also surviving are his sisters, Pat Wood Ayscue, Mary Macon, Nancy Taylor (John), Anita Berry (David), and Denise Jeffries (Rickie); a brother, Warren Wood and wife Diana, and six nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 23 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner.
