Conly Morgan Stephenson

August 7, 1942 — December 20, 2017

GARNER- Conly Morgan Stephenson, 75, passed away on Wednesday. A native of Garner, he was the son of the late Waverly and Cecil Stephenson. Conly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960-1964, as a member of the K-9 Corps. After attending cosmetology school, he spent many years as a hairdresser. He also worked in the insurance industry and manufactured housing industry for several years. An avid golfer, Conly enjoyed spending time on the golf course with his parents, family, and friends. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 28th, 2:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Chapel, Garner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. He is survived by his son, Morgan Stephenson and wife, Marisa Stephenson of Fuquay- Varina and grandchildren, Jordan, Emma, and Nico Stephenson; brother, Mike Stephenson (Jennifer); sisters, Sandra Diffee and Mary Jo Stephenson (Mark); brother, Richard Stephenson; Also, survived by special friend, Jean Daniels and by many nieces and nephews, Kim Brennan, Heather Gaydeski, Marshall Phillips, Owen Phillips, Duncan Stephenson and Joel Stephenson. We would like to thank all of the friends and family who took the time to visit him over the last few months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Duke Cancer Institute, 710 W. Main St. Suite 200, Durham, NC 27701.
