Constance "Connie" Sexton Warren

RALEIGH – Connie Sexton Warren, 74, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 12, 2022. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late William and Dolores Sexton. Connie graduated from ECU and became a devoted educator for over 20 years. During her college years she was also a proud member of the Delta Zeta sorority. She was a Red Hat Society member and a volunteer member with several organizations such as the SPCA, The Humane Society and Hospice. Connie enjoyed shopping and dining out with her girlfriends, and family trips to the beach. She was an avid animal lover and supporter and will be dearly missed by her beloved pets, Onyx, Beau, and Picasso. Connie was a devout Christian who loved to spend time reading her bible and devotionals daily. Connie is survived by her husband of 53 years, John Warren, who was not only the love of her life, but also her best friend and soulmate; son, Chad Warren and wife, Laura of Winterville; and precious grandchildren, Hailey, Emily, and Everett. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Raleigh. The family will welcome visitors immediately following the service.\
