Constance Lawhon Breci

Connie Lawhon Breci, 74, died Saturday May 8, 2021 at Wake Medical Center. A native of Johnston County, she is the daughter of the late Alex and Bertha Hughes Lawhon. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park, Raleigh. Connie’s working career began in 1966 with CP&L in management. In 1986, she began working with Wilder’s Nuts & Bolts as a secretary and bookkeeper and remained there for the next 20 years until retirement. She was happiest when surrounded by her large family and opened her home for every family gathering. She knew how to throw and host a party that none would forget. Above anything, Connie took great pride in being a wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a very generous person and always gave to her family first before herself. There was nothing on earth more important to her than her family, and she exhibited this every day in their lives. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished by all of her loving family. Connie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom Breci of Benson; son, Tony Breci and wife, Britney of Benson; grandchildren, Nicole Breci and Joey Terralavoro; great-grandson, Kai Alford; siblings, Edna Sykes of Raleigh, Gladys Woodard and husband, Robert of Pegram, TN, Carolyn Aycock and husband, Elton of Princeton, Shirley Proutey and husband, Don of Clayton, Doris Crews and husband, Gene of Willow Springs, Brenda Stroud and husband, Terry of Garner, and Frank Lawhon of Smithfield; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins who were all special to her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Richard Lawhon, Robert Lawhon, James Lawhon, Eloise Griffin, and Elizabeth Wall. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Building Fund, 15772 NC Highway 50, Garner, NC 27529.
