Cynthia Dee Murphy Burke

RALEIGH-Cynthia Dee Murphy Burke, 48, of Raleigh, died on January 12, 2013. Visitation will be held at Bryan Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 2220 High House Road, Cary. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Dee is survived by her husband, David and son, Justin; mother, Nancy Gregory, sisters Kathy Williams and Kim Boyd, and grandmother Eva Wood. Dee graduated from Broughton High School in 1982 and North Carolina State University in 1986. She was the Director of Savings for the North Carolina 529 Savings Plan at College Foundation Inc. She was an avid NCSU fan and enjoyed attending NCSU basketball and football games. She had many lifelong friends and is remembered as a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter and friend. She will be truly missed. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Society, 6859 E. Rembrandt Ave, Ste 128, Mesa, AZ 85212 or Hospice of Wake County, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Wake County Hospice Center for their support in her final days.
