Daisey Mae Long Poole, 64, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022. A native of Columbia, SC, Daisey was born June 5, 1958, to the late James Edward and Annie Mae King Long. She learned about working hard to help support her family early on, helping on the family farm. She later started her own commercial cleaning company. Daisey had a servant’s heart, which made her favorite holiday Christmas. She loved listening to Elvis and enjoyed the time she had to cook and clean her own home. More than anything though, Daisey loved time with her family. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at 2PM, at the Temple of Pentecost, 2312 Lake Wheeler Road, Raleigh, NC 27603. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1-1:50 PM at the church, prior to the service. Daisey is survived by her son, Trinity Wayne Brooks and wife, Heather; grandchildren, Brittany Douglas and husband, Caleb, Linsey Douglas and husband, Josh, Hunter Long, Bladen Brooks, and Gavin Brooks; great grandchildren, Waylon, Whitman, and Wrenly Douglas; sisters, Shirley Lemon and Emma McElveen; and a brother, Rufus “Bean” Long. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Howard Poole; a son, Gary Lewis Long; sister, Faye Poston; and brothers, Willie and James "Bobo" Long.
