Dan Stephen Sloan

ANGIER – Dan Stephen Sloan, 73, went to be with Jesus Monday, March 20th, 2023. A native of Harnett County, he was born at home to the late John West and Cassie Dudley Sloan.

In addition to his family, he was the preceded in death by his older brothers John Herman and James Truman Sloan.

Dan farmed with his family all of their lives. He was a devoted member of Kennebec Baptist Church. A founding member of the Oak Hill Assisted Living Community, he had many friends in Harnett County.

Survivors include his baby brother, Wiley “Joe” Sloan; Terry Sloan Holt (Bill), Brittnie Holt Lackey (Ronnie), Shyann and Harper Lackey, Felicia Sloan Roberts (Keith), Chris Roberts (Kristy), Elizabeth Roberts; Kasey Roberts, Elaine Roberts, Tammy Sloan Walker (Larry), Tony Ray Sloan, Teia Sloan Matthews; and aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Sloan and Dudley families.

Memorial service will be held Saturday, March 25th at 11:00 am at Kennebec Baptist Church, Angier.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kennebec Baptist Building Fund, PO Box 1690, Angier, NC 27501.

A private inurnment will be held at a later date.
