GARNER – Dana Geer Davison, 93, retired employee of the North Carolina State Division of Health Services, died Thursday, January 15, 2015. Born in Greensboro, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Enoch and Mary Elizabeth McGibony Geer. For many years, she taught Sunday School at Aversboro Road Baptist Church (ARBC) where she was a longtime member. She was also an active participant in Bible Study Fellowship International for 17 years. Following a private burial, a public memorial service will be held at 11:30 am Saturday, January 24th, at Aversboro Road Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at the church following the service. Survivors include her daughter, Jane Davison of Raleigh and son, John Davison of Concord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Henry Davison, and two brothers, Colonel John Colclough Geer, and Brigadier General Thomas McGibony Geer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Garner Area Ministries, P.O. Box 797, Garner, NC 27529, or to the ARBC Library Fund, 1600 Aversboro Road, Garner, NC 27529.
